First, let's extend a warm thank you to Montgomery County's Chair, Ms. Adrienne Cadik, for taking the time to submit answers to the questions presented last month.  It allowed us an opportunity to get to know her better.

Her submission has been placed under the TSD4 News' Montgomery County page.

Second, under each County's page (data readily available) is a list of the 2008 Candidates.  Just click on their names and it will link you to information about each of them.

Also, Larry Hunter is featured under Orange County, Kent Hargett is featured under Montgomery County, and Joseph Montemayor is featured under Harris County.  Liberty, Jefferson, and Chambers 2008 Candidates will be featured when information about them is obtained.

Third, it appears the first SDEC meeting will not occur until after the November General Election; I will keep you posted of any changes.

Our TSD4 House

Any and all in-fighting among our Counties need to cease, because there is more at stake this year then carrying grudges from many years prior and battling over things we cannot currently change.

Many of us are new, or returning, to the democratic process; and, do not want to participate in such things going back way before we joined, or rejoined, the democratic process.

Our Counties are together as long as the State keeps our Counties together; and, there is nothing we can currently do about it.

When Barack Obama told us to get out and make a difference, no matter how small or big, that did not include joining, or rejoining, an existing feud between each of the six Counties.

It is time to unite to turn our Counties and the cities within our Counties the color Blue.  And, we cannot accomplish that if we are in some type of never-ending competition and feud many of us did not intend to join.

For awhile we had to deal with the Obama people against the Hillary people and the Hillary people against the Obama people.  And, thank goodness, that is finally over.

Then, within our own TSD4, many of us from each of our Counties have been encouraged to behave in the same negative manner as the aforementioned.  Many do not even know the history involved or the reasons surrounding the ongoing competition and battle.

This negativity and non-sharing interaction between each of our Counties really need to stop, because as Obama has made clear, "We want change; and, we do not want to do the same old (federal, state, local) politics".

There are those who were new who witnessed what was happening and was so turned off that they walked away saying they will not return or participate anymore.

This is not the road to change at all.

In the end, we need to unite and become interdependent in our efforts to turn our neighborhoods, communities, cities, counties, state, and nation Blue.

And, we cannot make this happen if we are fighting; even silently by ignoring each other or backbiting about each other or doing that which leads to zero accomplishments for democrats in our Texas Senate District 4.

We are dealing with a statewide and nationwide 'machine' created and established many decades ago when many of us were young children or not even born yet.  Our united goal is to destroy that 'machine' so positive change can happen across our country and even spread outward to the other countries on our planet.

We must remember to extend our efforts to not only getting Barack Obama and Joe Biden elected, we must also work just as hard to get our local, state, and federal candidates elected too.

We do not want Barack Obama and Joe Biden struggling and battling to get things done, because we did not succeed in turning the House and Senate Blue; state and federal.

We do not want to watch the local functioning of our cities and counties dominated by the same people doing the same things they have done each and every year for many decades.

For the first time in decades, we now have the chance of succeeding in making the changes many of us have been waiting to see happen for a very long time.

This is our year.

And, so are the next 8 years.

We can turn and keep Texas, and every city and county in Texas, Blue.

Let's do it!
